Piano Tuning

Changes in temperature, humidity and other factors cause a piano to become out of tune. For optimum performance, a new piano should be tuned 4 times in the first year and twice a year after that.  Piano manufacturers recommend regular retuning at least once a year.

Vanderhoofven Piano Services LLC has over 25 years experience performing quality piano tuning.

Action Regulation

Like a car needs maintenance to run smoothly, Piano Action Regulation evens out a piano’s touch response by adjusting and aligning all the many moving action parts within it.

You may need action regulation if:

  • your piano keys stick
  • the keys on your piano are not level
  • the piano has an uneven touch
  • dynamic range is limited
  • it is slower moving than in the past
  • it doesn’t keep up with quick passages

If you have these piano problems, contact Vanderhoofven Piano Services LLC to get a quote on action regulation today!

Voicing of Hammers

Over time, hammer felt striking the strings can cause your piano to sound harsh or dull. Voicing treats the hammers, aligning, shaping and needling/hardening the hammers as needed, to give you better tone.

Vanderhoofven Piano Services LLC can expertly voice your piano. Call us to get a quote today!
